Wondrous Words Wednesday #4

Hello Friends,

wondrous2

While reading, we come across many new words that we don’t know about. We don’t always care about to look for their meaning. Fantasy fiction books like Harry Potter, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland are full of such word marvels.

“Wondrous Words Wednesday”, a very interesting meme from Bermuda Onion is to celebrate the new words that we have encountered while reading.

This word is from the novel “Gone Girl” by Gillian Flynn.

Indomitable – This word is used to describe Nic & Margo’s mother in the book.

“Go’s voice was warm and crinkly even as she gave this cold news: Our indomitable mother was dying.”

indomitable / ɪnˈdɒmɪtəb(ə)l / adjective

impossible to subdue or defeat.

Here is my sentence for the word:

“Her indomitable spirit left everyone in her awe”

What do you think people? What makes you indomitable?
